A 3-days-long tourist trip by canoes on the lakes of Aukštaitija National Park and on the River of Buka.
Friday. We will leave Kaunas for the homestead which is located on the shore of the Lake of Baluošas. The homestead surrounded by forests of Aukštaitija National Park is located in the village of Bubuliai. The quietness-savoured Lake of Baluošas invites to have a bathe. When we arrive we will settle down in the rooms of three buildings of the homestead. A landlord will make a very hot Russian bath after which we will run to the Lake of Baluošas to cool down. There is a huge room right beside the bath where you can spend your long evenings.
Saturday. Breakfast. We will leave the homestead by canoes in the morning after the breakfast. We will take only the spare clothes, food and drinks for lunch. All the things you have will remain in the homestead, but you do not need to worry about it– they will not disappear because all the houses are locked and the landlords are always in the homestead. Today we will visit an old village of Šuminai where the movie “Tadas Blinda” were filmed. Who knows maybe we will even meet Tadas Blinda himself… Later on we will visit a unique place – a lake in a lake. The next route is the following: Baluošykštis – a River of Skregžda – Srovinaitis – a River of Srovė. This route will continue till the village of Ginučiai. You will be able to find there a shop and a beer bar. You will also be able to take a dip in a waterfall of a water mill. After all this we will take our canoes over the road, sail to the Lake of Almajas and reach the Lake of Asėkas sailing on the River of Almaja where we will make our lunch and have some rest. Later on we will reach the Lake of Linkmenas sailing on the River of Asėka. We can not miss a chance to visit a mound of Linkmenys where a wooden castle sat during the times of crusaders. We should also visit Ladakalnis with an amazing prospect from it. This is a finish of today. We will come back to the homestead by bus and go to the bath in the evening again. After that we will have dinner and share the impressions of today’s trip.
Sunday. We will have breakfast and leave to the start by bus. It is in the River of Buka. The route of today will consist only of the River of Buka and the Lake of Baluošas. We will come back to the homestead sailing on it after we will stop for lunch in the midway. There will be a lot of turns, fallen trees and beautiful small villages in the River of Buka. We will see all of them from a very close distance… The shores often change from the forest to the field and contrary. The finish will be after we will sail into the Lake of Baluošas from the small River of Buka. We will be able to see our homestead sailing on the lake 3 km away on the right side. It is a pity, but the trip will finish here… Then we will eat the remaining food, pack our things, thank to the landlord and go back home.

!In order your extra clothes and things remain dry after the journey we will offer you the 50-litres hermetic bags and the 24-litres hermetic plastic contents made by a concern “RTM”.
!The new menu is made where you will be able to choose five hot meals which will be served for you during the whole weekend’s trip. If you are interested in it you will be able to get the menu by e-mail.
The water tourists will give you your adventures recorded in the CD after the journey before going home. You will look much better with the new inventory in the pictures this year!
