ABOUT US

Public institution “Water tourists” was founded in 2003. It is a company which organizes events by the water and the first one which brought polythene “Rotomod” French kayaks to Lithuania.

It is the seventh season when we are glad to have a great opportunity to offer you how to spend an active leisure time with our rent equipment. During this time we have tried a lot of different manufacturers but we have chosen French “Rotomod” and English “Perception” kayaks. We have seen that this equipment is very stable, practical while going on the water.

In order to meet high customers demands, we also can offer 1 or 3 seats kayaks and 8, 12 seats rafts. You can take the equipment and by yourself at a convenient time for you. In this way you can plan your time without any difficulties. “Raft’s” tents, life vests are especially convenient for transportation.

Since the beginning we have been trying to make active leisure time on the water popular in Lithuania. In order to show what a beautiful country we have!

We try to improve our service every year.  We would like you to remember all the memorable moments of the trip so you are given a cd with high quality photos. We pay a lot of attention for your safety on the water, we have very qualified and strong men to assure it. They always will help to take a seat or how to use with paddles.

In 2003 we organized 2-3 days trips by National Aukstaitijos park’s lakes and rivers and visited etnocultural field nature’s and cultural sights: old Suminai, Ginuciai, Ripepalaukis, Paluse villages. We climbed to “Ladakalnis” (it’s like a mountain) and could enjoy one of the most beautiful prospect: trees’ rows accentuate blue lakes, mounds.

In 2004 we offered one of the most impressive Lithuania’s rivers Sventoji. The Sventoji, where we start our journey is not very wide, but it is very rich in its natural monuments: Krokule spring and Kanglomeratas cave in Uzpaliai, a monkeys’ bridge in Mikieriai through the Sventoji which was built in 1973 and leads to church which was constructed in 1924, St. Peter and Povilas church made of stones in Andrioniskys, well known Puntukas stone, famnous in songs “Anyksciai boscage” reservation in Anyksciai, the Slave and the Virinta shores, an exposure towards Kurkliai…

We offered the Merkys, the Salcia and the Ula of Dzukija (it’s Lithuania’s region in the south) in 2005 and visited Mardasavas, Zervynai, Ziuriai, Trakiskiai villages in Dzukija national park. We didn’t forget and the Republic of Perloja with the monument for a great duke Vytautas, Merkine mound.

A journey of the Dubysa in 2006 is one of the most favourite by Kaunas district people. We visit a great poet’s Maironis homeland and also a very beautiful village Betygala with a great church and a monument for Vytautas, Betygalas’s mound.

We’re creating new routes in order to show what a beautiful Lithuania is:

A river which has two names “Nemunelis” or “Memele” invites us to Birzai lands. This river is so called and in Latvia. We have a journey along Lithuania-Latvia board. Tourists have an opportunity to visit Birzai castle, to see Birzai bear factory and of course, to taste it. You can spend a night in Dauguvieciai which is a homeland of famous dramatist and poet Borisas Dauguvietis (1885-1949) in his renovated house.

The Neris invites us to visit Kaisiadoriai and Sirvintos. The river is with a lot of trees and almost uninhabited in these regions. A lot of small springs like Laukysta, Bose, Lomena flow into it. We even can try one bigger spring Muse. Also we will see a small town which is in the confluence of the Neris and Muse – Ciobiskis, which is famous for X-IX century tumulus.

“Water tourists” organize all the events in cooperation with the best local country tourism representatives in order to offer you the best features of our wonderful country – sauna, native food and other activities.

Journeys with “Water tourists” are the best chances to spend a quality time with your family, colleagues, friends, to celebrate a birthday and to do some wonderful sightseeing.

We are only for you – to give those unforgettable moments.
